We caught up Demon Hunter recently and asked them what was some of the biggest misconceptions about Christian artists? "I’m very self-aware with regards to the stigma. I’d be the first person to admit that, in a general sense, Christian artists have set a low bar. I grew up in the church, so I’ve seen this my whole life. Ultimately, this is one of the greatest factors fueling us to do what we do. I’ve never seen Christian music as a force to be reckoned with. From the very beginning, we’ve been trying to change that. There are a small number of bands that have helped chip away at this issue over the past 20 or so years, but we’ve still got a long way to go. To answer your question more directly, yes, I believe Christians artists are often met with a lot of preconceived notions. However, I believe there is a great deal of validity to these assumptions. That’s the challenge for us… and I hope we’ve done our part to change some minds."
